Doesn't get any better than this guy! I have recently purchased a condo with a broken garage door opener. It was missing some brackets. I called them, and Emil came out promptly the next morning. On time! He was able to run back to his shop and get the bracket I needed. It took him less than an hour to complete the entire project! My garage door works great now. I said a little thank you to Emil as I opened my garage door late last night and drove in my garage. I would definitely call him again if I needed anything done with my garage door. Highly recommend, plus he's just a super nice guy, which the process so much easier. Thanks Emil!Winston · Google review
Emil Garage Doors are my GO TO business for all things related to garage door repair, replacement and door openers! Talk about the gold standard for superb professional courteous responsive customer service - these guys are always on time, their rates are very reasonable and IMO lowest in town, and their work is always quality - from spring replacements to extra FOB programming & delivery! The owner is the real deal and makes good on all promises - We love doing business with him and don't hesitate to refer this business to all. He's that good!Ryan · Google review
Called the office to let them know my issues and asked if we could get someone out to look at my door. Was told between 11-12...drove home from work at 11:05 and Emil was waiting and ready to get to work. Not knowing anything about how to fix a garage door, Emil did a great job explaining why I was having issues. Quoted a reasonable price (well at least what I thought was reasonable) and less than 40 minute later he had fixed the problem. Great customer service from intake of the call to fixing my door! If you need a garage door repair...support local business and give them your business, you won't be disappointed.Guadalupe · Google review
My garage door and opener were pretty banged up and not working properly. Emil Garage Doors came out, did a thorough evaluation of door and all it's parts. Even though the previous home owner rigged up the garage door opener with the wrong springs and parts, Emil repaired the door and saved us money by using some of the old parts. That kind of honesty will get 5 stars all day long. Thank you Emil Garage Doors for your great service.Bradford · Google review

Newer master-planned neighborhoods at the top of the pass
According to the Census Bureau's 2020-2024 estimates, the median home in Beaumont was built in 2006, newer than in the other cities near it. About 88 percent of homes are detached single-family houses and about 81 percent of occupied homes are owner-occupied. Doors from the 2000s are not old yet, but a busy door can reach its rated spring cycles sooner than you expect, and openers from that period are often due for replacement.
Wikipedia names these master-planned communities in Beaumont: Oak Valley Greens, Three Rings Ranch, Solera, Olivewood, Sundance, Tournament Hills, Four Seasons and Fairway Canyon. It does not say which are gated or restricted to older adults. A listing site, a weaker source, names Four Seasons at Beaumont, Solera at Oak Valley Greens and Altis as gated 55-plus communities. We do not publish association fees or rules, because we could not verify them, so check your association's guidelines before you order a new door.
Beaumont sits at about 2,500 to 3,000 feet at the peak of the San Gorgonio Pass, where wind is part of daily life. Tell us your cross street and what the door does, and we book the soonest visit. We weigh and balance each door before we choose springs.

What Beaumont conditions do to a garage door
Wikipedia calls Beaumont one of the windiest cities in Southern California. Its 1981-2010 climate table, which names no station, puts the average July high at 96.3 degrees and the January high at 63.1, with a record high of 114 degrees in July and about 19.3 inches of rain a year. A strong gust can push on a large door or knock a half-open one off its track.
Single events include a 71 mph gust along Highland Springs Avenue on November 13, 2018 that uprooted a large tree on Palm Avenue, and a National Weather Service advisory on June 7, 2021 for gusts to 50 mph and isolated 60 mph near Banning. On January 21, 2025 a power cut hit parts of Banning and Beaumont, and 28,836 Riverside County customers were affected, with gusts forecast near 75 mph, according to KESQ. The city says Southern California Edison is the utility, restoration is typically 3 to 8 hours after the circuit is cleared, and some customers may see outages of up to 10 minutes. The Apple Fire, which started in Cherry Valley on July 31, 2020, burned 33,424 acres and sent evacuees to Beaumont High School.
When the power is out, use the red release cord, and lift the door only if it feels light. Close the door when a wind warning is out, and press the test button on the battery backup twice a year.
- Close the door during wind warnings
- Know where the manual release is
- Test the battery backup twice a year

Battery backup, permits and design rules in Beaumont
Battery backup. California Health and Safety Code section 19892 says residential garage door openers sold or installed in the state need a battery backup, and a replacement garage door cannot be connected to an older residential opener that lacks one. See opener installation.
HOAs and style rules. If you live in a planned community or a historic overlay, check style and color rules before you choose a new door. See new garage doors for styles.
City permits. Beaumont is its own city, so its rules come from the City of Beaumont. Building and Safety is at 550 East 6th Street, and its page lists 951-769-8529 and hours of Monday to Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to noon. Permit plans go in digitally, by email to permits@beaumontca.gov or through the online portal at beaumontca.gov. The page links a list of work exempt from permits that we could not read, so we could not confirm whether a door or opener replacement needs a permit. Call Building and Safety first.
Fire hazard zones. The city confirms Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone designations in its local responsibility area, and the State Fire Marshal issued recommended maps on March 24, 2025. Owners in a Very High zone must keep 100 feet of defensible space, follow home-hardening and wildland-urban interface building codes, and disclose the designation at sale. The city page gives no street list, so we could not verify whether your street is in a zone. The map is on the Riverside County Fire site.

Beaumont garage door repair: questions we hear
Is there garage door repair near me in Beaumont?
Yes. Emil Garage Doors repairs garage doors in Beaumont (ZIP 92223) and the neighborhoods next door. Call (213) 340-4232, tell us your street or neighborhood and what the door does, and we book the soonest visit. See garage door repair near me.
What is the average price to repair a garage door in Beaumont?
Typical prices: a 12-point safety inspection is $89, a torsion spring pair for a standard two-car door is $250 to $450 (heavy-duty springs $350 to $900), a cable pair is $175 to $350, and a belt-drive opener installed with battery backup is $550 to $900. The final price is confirmed after we see the door.
What is the most common garage door repair in Beaumont?
Broken torsion springs are among the most common garage door repairs, because springs wear out after a set number of open-and-close cycles. Cables, rollers, safety sensors and off-track doors follow. See garage door spring repair.
How much is a service call for a garage door?
Our 12-point safety inspection is $89. It covers the springs, cables, rollers, tracks, sensors and opener, and we explain what we find before any repair starts.
Is it cheaper to repair or replace a garage door?
A repair is usually cheaper when the door itself is sound and only a spring, cable, roller or sensor failed. Replacement makes sense when panels are bent or rotted, the door is very old or the opening needs a different size. We tell you which one fits before we start.
Which ZIP code do you serve in Beaumont?
Beaumont homes use ZIP code 92223, according to zip-codes.com, and the same ZIP covers Cherry Valley. Some map data shows 92220 on the Four Seasons streets, so give us your street and we confirm we reach it. We also serve nearby Banning and San Jacinto.
Does a garage door replacement in Beaumont need a permit?
We could not confirm a garage-door-specific permit rule for Beaumont, because we could not read the city's list of work exempt from permits. Call Building and Safety at 951-769-8529 to ask whether your door or opener work needs one.
Do I need my HOA's approval for a new garage door in Beaumont?
We could not verify any Beaumont association's rules. Many of the master-planned neighborhoods have associations, and many associations review the style and color of a replacement door, so ask yours for its guidelines before you order.
What is the most common problem with garage doors?
Broken springs are a very common problem, along with cables that have come off the drum, openers that stop responding and doors knocked off their track. In Beaumont, wind makes a bent track more likely, so close the door during a wind warning.
Does California require a battery backup on a garage door opener?
Yes. California Health and Safety Code section 19892 says residential openers sold or installed in the state need a battery backup, and a replacement garage door cannot be connected to an older residential opener that lacks one.
Do you also repair gates in Beaumont?
Yes. See gate repair and electric gate repair.
